Telekom Fan World
We've created a digital experience and social hub in the UEFA Fan Zone
The pulse of Germany's footballing nation beats particularly strongly in Berlin. Just as it did in 2006 and 2014, when the enthusiastic crowds of fans made the city come alive. From 14th June to 14th July, Berlin was once again be at the centre of the action at the UEFA EURO 2024™. The three-storey Telekom Fan World was built in the official UEFA fan zone, directly next to the Federal Chancellery. Visitors were able to enjoy an innovative XR (Extended Reality) experience. An enclosed area of Fan World also served as a studio for the MagentaTV Social Reaction Show, which captured the atmosphere of the Fan Zone.
We at fischerAppelt, live marketing from Cologne, were responsible for designing and creating the Telekom Fan World, including the interactive stations and the XR Experience, supported by Capture Media from Düsseldorf.
The futuristic building that houses the Telekom Fan World offers an exclusive platform for fans and will be illuminated in magenta by LED lighting during the four-week tournament. Football fans were able to forward to an interactive smorgasbord that combines their passion for football with the Deutsche Telekom brand world. Fans could create virtual memories on the ground floor by taking selfies and video clips with as many as four players from the German squad and share them directly on social media. They could also put their timing, skill and speed to the test in an exciting virtual goal wall competition.
The heart of the Telekom Fan World was undoubtedly the XR (Extended Reality) experience, which immersed fans in a fascinating virtual experience. Thanks to AI technology, fans were able to play in a legendary goalscoring scene. 18 episodes of the MagentaTV Reaction Show were also broadcast from the top floor featuring celebrity guests such as the Gurken Brothers, Calcio Berlin and Fabian Reese who plays for Hertha Berlin.
